Massachusetts-based vocalist Jean Mancini Gough, is an experienced and versatile singer who has performed extensively throughout New England as a classical recitalist, jazz stylist, wedding and sacred repertoire soloist. Currently Jean divides her musical attention between classical and jazz singing and can be heard each Sunday at the FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH, WORCESTER, MA and at regular appearances with her jazz ensemble at various venues in the New England area.
As a recitalist, she has presented numerous programs in the New England area, Philadelphia and New York City. Her training,which includes Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance/Music Education, years of private study in classical voice, currently with Ruth Cooper, plus her many years of experience have made her a knowledgable and sensitive performer, equally comfortable in various styles. In the jazz world, Jean has studied with veteran singers Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, and faculty at Berklee and the Vermont Jazz Center.
